In 2006, Nike launched a collection of football commercials, “Joga Bonito” which means “Play Beautiful” in Portuguese. The commercials were hosted by Eric Cantona and featured football all stars including Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zlatan Ibrahimovic & Christian Ronaldo. These commercials were pretty legendary.
In 2021, we were briefed to revamp the “Joga Bonito” campaign in an apparel collection through the Nike F.C. brand. I created a graphic language that carried out through apparel, accessories, and footwear.
Designed the bespoke women’s Canadian home and away national football kit.
The print is subtle on pitch but on close look, very complex. It’s inspired by all of the diverse women that make up the DNA of Canada.
The culture of basketball collection for Nike boy’s apparel was all about peace within the basketball community, growth and unity. With the tagline, “Ball for all” we wanted to make sure that we create an inclusive environment for our kids.
I created the graphic language that was carried out through apparel and accessories. l wanted to incorporate culturally relevant graphics with an inviting almighty panther as our mascot promoting all the key sayings.
